British Airways has announced that it will launch new services from Gatwick to Male in Maldives. This new service will fly three times a week and is set to launch on October 25, 2009. This new service will represent the first time that British Airways has ever offered flights to Maldives. The flights, as of now, will be offered on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Of course, British Airways is adding other routes to its schedule as well. Besides the flights to Maldives, British Airways will also be adding flights to Sharm El Sheikh. The British Airways head of UK and Ireland sales, Richard Tams, said that these new routes will be of great help to the British Airways network and will also be very helpful to customers. He did go on to note that these areas will be perfect holiday locations for many travelers.

Travelers who choose to go to Maldives on holidays will find great coral islands, each with its very own resort hotel. Due to this fact, the area is already very popular with some travelers. However, the good news is that less people normally go to this area, which means that it is less crowded than other holiday resorts. In this area, people will be able to enjoy things like fishing, snorkeling, diving, as well as sailing in relative peace.

Maldives offers a wide range of hotels for travelers of every budget. Not only does Maldives offer a wide range of low budget hotels, it also offers great five-star hotels as well, like the Coco Palm Body Hithi.
