Europcar Team Up With Fiat To Give Away New Car
by Howard Williams September 25th, 2009
Europe’s largest car hire firm, Europcar, is presently running a competition for people living in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Austria and Belgium where entrants will have the chance to take home their very own Fiat 500.
The competition is being held to promote Europcar’s image as a green company by highlighting one of the most environmentally friendly cars on the road today.
Those who visit Europcar’s website will be asked to answer questions if they decide to take part in the competition, which will contain questions relating to the environmental benefits of the Fiat 500 and the green policies of Europcar.
Fiat and Europcar have recently teamed together to offer cars with low carbon dioxide emissions to its customers. The new addition to the fleet emits between 110 grams and 119 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometre.
The Fiat 500 offers the lowest carbon emissions from any model from the auto manufacturer, and has even managed to win the prize for European Car of the Year in 2008.
The introduction of the environmentally friendly vehicle to Europcar’s fleet further confirms the company’s right to be the first European car hire firm to be awarded the Green Charter by Bureau Veritas last year.
The car hire giant was also given the title of World’s Leading Green Transport Solution.
The competition will run until October 15 throughout Europe with the winner announced in November.
