Kent Tourism Promotion Aimed At Londoners
by Isabel Taylor July 28th, 2009
Kent has launched a cut-priced tourism campaign this week aimed and luring countless Londoners to some of it’s finest attractions.
The promotion, totaling over £400,000, will see dozens of county tourist destinations travel deals such as two-for-one offers with valid train tickets purchased on Southeastern services.
Such sites participating in the promotion include Canterbury Cathedral, which has never had such a gimmick in its history, St. Augustine’s Abbey in Canterbury, Margate’s Shell Grotto, Dover Castle, Upnor Castle, and the Hop Farm in Paddock Wood.
Restaurants and hotels would also be part of the value-for-money drive too, as discount and money-off vouchers for retail vendors at the Ashford Designer Centre Outlet.
Visit Kent chairman Amanda Cottrell said: “I’m sure this campaign will have a brilliant effect on the county’s economy.”
