Emirates has just announced the launch of some new flights to Bangkok and Toronto. The flights for Bangkok will be daily, and the flights to Toronto will be three times weekly. These new flights signal a new era of luxury travel to both Canada and Thailand. It also represents a personal milestone for Emirates’ A380 schedule.

The new service on Emirates’ A380 to Bangkok took off from Emirates’ new home located in Terminal 3 at the Dubai International Airport. The fight was carrying 488 passengers, and it landed to a very festive welcome by the Thai government at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

At the same time, Emirates’ A380 to Toronto departed Dubai with almost 460 passengers. It was the first commercial A380 jet to touch down on Canadian soil. The senior management from Emirates flew on these two inaugural services their first time out. On arrival in Toronto and Bangkok, this was unveiled to the local media.

The A380 itself is the world’s biggest twin deck airliner. It has 35 percent more seats than its closest rival. On top of this, it is also the most environmentally advanced commercial aircraft in the skies today. The plane offers better fuel efficiency than even most hybrid passenger cars offer. The A380 also burns up to 20 percent less fuel per seat than most of the largest aircrafts of today. It is also a quieter plane overall – this includes during takeoff.

The President of Emirates, Tim Clark, said that Emirates is very delighted to be celebrating its inaugural A380 services to Canada and Thailand.
