Emirates Airlines plans to launch new flight plans between Dubai and Singapore by way of the Airbus A380. The first schedule has the A380 running four times a week starting in December of 2009. This will mark Emirates Airlines first A380 flights to Southeast Asia. A380 flights by Emirates Airlines can already be found to areas like London, Sydney, and New York.

The A380 is a state-of-the-art super-jumbo aircraft that can carry more than 480 passengers. This aircraft comes with 14 first class private suites, 76 seats in the business class cabin and 399 economy seats. This allows Emirates Airlines to have close to 2,000 more seats per week for passengers heading to Dubai and Singapore, which have both had strong growths in passengers over the last few years.

On board the A380, passengers in the first class cabin will find shower spas that can be used to freshen up while on the plane. Business- and first-class fliers will both have access to the on board lounge area. Here the passengers will find a well-stocked bar that contains everything from liqueurs to snacks.

All passengers on Emirates Airlines A380 flights will be able to take advantage of some of the ICE (information, communication, and entertainment) systems. The A380 will feature more than 1,200 flight channels, as well as e-mail facilities. All cabins are outfitted with a mood lighting system that will help people fight off the symptoms of jet lag. The seats are also equipped with seat-to-seat calling for communication between passengers.
