Beginning on November 1st of next year, Continental Airlines will start daily nonstop flights from Houston, Texas, USA to Frankfurt, Germany if it is approved by the government. The services are planned to depart from Houston at 6:50pm and arrive at 11:40am in Frankfurt. Return services will leave Frankfurt everyday at 1:40pm and arrive at 5:50pm in Houston the same day. The flights will be services with a Boeing 767-200 that seats 25 BusinessFirst passengers (a new Continental service) and 140 economy-class passengers.

This additional service will be a big help to those who are traveling from Texas to Frankfurt. As of now, these travelers only have Lufthansa’s nonstop daily service from Houston to Frankfurt. Continental Airlines intends on launching the service from their Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport hub. If the flights are approved by the government, Frankfurt will be the 4th European destination offered from Continental Airlines that is served from their hub in Houston. They already offer nonstop services to Amsterdam, Paris, and London.

Jim Compton, the Executive Vice President of Marketing for Continental Airlines, said that they are happy to be expanding their service network to and from Germany through launching this Houston-Frankfurt route. Additionally, this route will provide travelers in Germany with convenient connections to American destinations, he added.

The new route has been timed conveniently to connect at Houston with a network of services throughout Latin America and the southwestern United States. The airline currently operates 645 flights per day from their Houston hub.
