Germany Falls to Spain in the World Cup Semi-final

The World Cup game that a lot of people have been waiting for has come and gone. Now that the smoke has settled, it is Spain that has walked away with the win. This leads a lot of people to think that Spain will be the team that wins the World Cup final, which will be played against Holland. Germany will now take on Uruguay to determine third place.

The Germany coach, Joachim Loew, said that he is sure that Spain will win the title. This was the coach’s words after his team was beat by Spain 1-0 on Wednesday night. He said that they are the best team around right now.

Experts claim that Spain has been the best team in Europe for much of the last four years. In fact, some say that they have been the best team in the world for the last four years. The team has lost only two games since November of 2006. One of them was a shocker to Switzerland in the group’s stage opener. The team clinched its first major title in 44 years by beating Germany at the 2008 European Championship. Oddly enough, they beat Germany during the European Championship with the identical score of 1-0.

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque said that they can say that Germany wasn’t as good as they thought they would have been. However, this is due to the excellent performance of the Spain team.
