by Andrew Drew April 29th, 2010
One of the most well known high-speed passenger trains in the UK, Eurostar, has just recently announced a very important change to its class of services. The company, in response to the changing needs of its customers, will now introduced Standard Premier. This is a mid-class service designed to appeal to, not only the most cost-conscious business travelers, but also leisure travelers who want that little bit extra space and service for their money.
Standard Premier tickets will first go on sale next Tuesday, May 5th for travel starting September 1st. The new class will replace Eurostar’s existing Leisure Select class, which has been on offer since 2005. The change comes as a result of extensive customer feedback and market research.
The commercial director for Eurostar, Nick Mercer, said that, following extensive research and feedback from their corporate clients and business travel agents, it has become very clear that there was a strong appetite for a mid-range product pitched between their fully-flexible Business Premier and Standard classes. Thus, Eurostar has taken this on board and have now introduced a new class, which not only meets the needs of their cost-conscious business customers, but also appeals to travelers looking for that little something extra.
Eurostar’s exclusive business class offers the highest level of freedom to work in a comfortable and dedicated surrounding. Business Premier offers a 10 minute express check in, business lounge access, plus drinks and a fine food menu.
The new class of service provides travelers with more options. They have the option for flexible fares,. They also have the freedom to work, think or simply unwind.
