Well it has finally come. Some airlines are now going to charge people to use the bathroom. With all of the fees that are pulling up on budget flights, most people know that this kind of charge was coming sooner or later.

Now, just after budget airlines announced that they will ask people to pay extra to carry on bags, some airlines like Ryanair are going to charge people to use the bathroom. Ryanair, which is based in Dublin, is announcing a plan that would require their travelers to pay either 1 euro or 1 pound for using the bathroom on flights that are less than one hour.

Ryanair went on to say that it is working with Boeing to develop a coin-operated door release so that passengers with weak bladders can just deposit money in a slot before being allowed to enter the bathroom. The main idea, or so budget airlines say, is to encourage people to use the restrooms at the airport before boarding.

Also, part of the plan will involve the removal of two to three lavatories on some of the planes. This would help the airline squeeze in yet more seats and be able to make more money per flight. However, this move could also help to reduce fares on Ryanair flights by as much as 5 percent.

Ryanair also just recently announced that it is going to be raising its checked luggage fee. Apparently the airline will be raising this fee from 15 euros to 20 euros per bag for the peak vacation months of July and August.
