Flybe Initiates Desktop Travel Promotion Feature

Flybe has launched a new feature in order to help keep travelers more informed on the latest promotions in travel that the company is offering. This new facility is going to be named the Departure Board. The Departure Board will make sure that the customers of Flybe receive information that is up-to-date on the travel offers that the firm has available by sending them messages that are based off of their preferences, which the user will preselect, instead of sending these updates through e-mail. However, the low-cost airline is utilizing technology of which will make it possible for their customers to receive notifications directly on their desktop computer.

By announcing the incentive of the new Departure Board, a Flybe spokesman, Neil Simpkin, described these services as an innovative offer that keeps the air travel public informed about the best deals that the carrier is featuring during that particular time. Simpkin said that based on the information provided by each of the individuals, the custom-made, real time messages will encourage customers to book more budget prices for leisure and business flights with the airline, because they are now going to know about the special deals available to them as soon as Flybe makes them available. The new Departure Board launch by Flybe comes soon after the development of the airline’s new XML engine for bookings, which are designed for their agents, having the purpose of conquering the increased problem of third-party sites screen scraping.
