Failed al-Qaeda Bomber is Just One Of Many

It now appears that the would-be terrorist, who tried to blow up a United States Jet on Christmas Day, has just revealed that there are many more just like him that are being trained by al-Qaeda. The terrorist, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, went on to tell agents that were questioning him that he was just one of many bombers being groomed by al-Qaeda affiliates to attack American-bound jets.

The words of Abdulmutallab come just after al-Qaeda in Yemen claimed responsibility for the failed bombing. A statement posted on an extremists website said that the attack was in retaliation for the United States-backed raids on December 17^th on its militants in Yemen. Reports suggest that at least 60 people were killed during these raids.

The statement went on to say that, since American people support their leaders who killed their women and children, they will come and slaughter them. They also point out that they will strike without warning.

These statements come just after the United States President, Barack Obama, vowed that the country would not rest until the terrorists were tracked down. He went on to say that they will continue to use every element of their national power to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat the violent extremists who threaten the United States.

The UK Home Secretary, Alan Johnson, said that he believes that the terrorist was not acting alone. An investigation has already been launched in Holland, where the Northwest Airlines flight stopped before flying onto Detroit. Apparently, here Abdulmutallab was seen with another man just before he boarded the plane.
