by Natalie Cooper November 30th, 2009
Following the success of its recently unveiled iPhone application, Sixt rent-a-car UK has now launched its new mobile rental booking application for Blackberry Smartphone devices.
The new application is compatible with Blackberry models including the Curve, Bold, Pearl and Storm models, and is free for customers to download.
The application will allow customers to utilise a GPS based search engine that will locate the nearest Sixt rental outlet and the ability to reserve from all vehicle catagories.
Sixt’s new Blackberry application has been designed for optimised speed through quick transfer rates, ensuring an effortless and smooth rental booking process, allowing users to receive a confirmation by SMS. Customers would also gain access to the MySixt webpage, which provides an overview of all current reservations as well as the option of cancelling or altering bookings.
Blackberry users will also be able to login with their Sixt customer cards in order to gain access to their individual rates and business users able to access corporate rates.
Commercial director from Sixt, Per Voegerl, said the new application aimed to provide both corporate and private customers as much flexibility as possible.
He also pointed out that the simple to download and install application offers Blackberry users a faster and more user-friendly rental from Sixt, along with benefits of numerous exclusive mobile offers.
