Delta Air Lines in conjunction with eBay has announced that they will be offering passengers free Wi-Fi on all equipped flights with the complimentary Gogo Inflight Internet service until the 30th of November.

Opreating the world’s largest fleet of Wi-Fi equipped aircraft, Delta is now offering ne ways to thank customers for their loyalty and provide them with new products and services with partners like eBay.

Director of Customer Experience for the ailine, Ranjan Goswami, said the Delta Thanksgiving promotion with eBay marked the first time the airline had been able to extend in-flight Internet acess as a sponsored benefit to their customers.

Delta continues to implement Wi-Fi across its fleet with over 300 aircraft scheduled to be equipped with Wi-Fi by the end of this year.  A further 200 pre-merger Northwest aircraft are on schedule to be completed by the middle of next year, with a total of 530 aircraft to be Wi-Fi enabled by June 2010.

eBay’s partnership with the airline is intended to showcase to over a million travellers the amazing value and unparalleled selection that eBay offers shoppers every day.

Greg Fant, eBay vice president of marketing said this year marked the largest integrated holiday season campaign eBay had created and they’re thrilled to be partnering with Delta to offer power shopping in the sky.
