A new British supercar has been revealed, the Arash AF-10, which features a mid-mounted powerful V8 engine.
Launched this week, the Arash AF-10 makes use of carbon fibre material for its entire body and chassis, and a 550 bhp 7.0-litre engine, typically found in the Corvette Z06.
Driving through a six-speed gearbox, the new car is claimed to be capable of reaching 0-62 in 3.5 seconds, and on to a top speed estimated at 205mph, the car is expected to cost £320,000.
The Arash has a triple rear diffuser and a separate front wing to maintain it firmly in contact with the ground, and weight is to be kept to 1,260kg, light by modern standards. The wheels are 19 inches in diameter at the front and 20 inch at the rear, with racing-style double wishbone suspension all round.
Arash has not yet provided details of when the AF-10 will be on sale, but indicates that it may be around mid-2010, following the completion of a full programme of testing.
For those who find 205mph not fast enough, you can look forward to the supercharged version, claimed to produce 1,200bhp, enough to give super-vehicle better power-to-weight ratio than the Bugatti Veyron.
The man behind the marquee is Arash Farboud, who created the Farbout GTS, now known as the Farbio.
