There is one airport that is located in Greece that is known as the Eleftherios Venizelos airport, however, it is better known to people around the world as the Athens International Airport. This is an airport that was started back in March 2001, and ever since then, no one has been able to come close to serving as many people as this one. Mostly, that is due to the fact that this airport serves all of Athens and Attica. These being two of the most visited spots in Greece; it’s easy to see why so many people use this airline. One cool thing to note about this amazing airport is that it’s the major hub for the Olympic Airlines, as well as a few other well known airlines in the area. This makes Athens Airport one of the biggest in the world.

So what makes the Athens airport stand out among the rest? Well, that would have to do with the fact of how nice this airport is and how many travelers they have that come through the gates every year. In fact, it is said that Athens airport actually takes in about 16 million passengers annually. That is more than most airlines take in two years. Many people have found out that they love this airport so much because of how nice it is. In fact, you will be blown away by the cutting edge architecture they have in this airport. This place is so nice to look at and such charms to be in that people want to come to this airport to just look around, however, it is far too busy for something like that.

The airports ground facilities are great, they have many transport options on arrival. There is a 24 hour public service running people to and from the nearby city. There are taxis available outside the airport or you could hire a car. Avis, Budget, National, Europcar, Six and Hertz are all represented at Athens International Airport.
