Birmingham Airport is located 8 miles South East of Birmingham center and is the fifth busiest airport in the UK. The airport is adjacent to the Birmingham International Rail Way; Station where you can connect to the air rail transport and visit London, which is only 75 miles or so away.

On the ground floor you will find the information desk. Also you can visit the Visitors center and get helpful information. The prayer rooms, postal service, game room, convenience stores, coffee, snacks, newspapers and Travelex are all on the ground floor.

On the first floor will be restaurants, pay phones, pubs, shopping, Travelex, the SkyRail and Serendipty Game Center are all on the first floor.

The Departure Lounge is where more pubs, coffee shops, sandwich shops, games, executive lounge, and internet booths are located.

Terminal 2:

The Ground Floor offers less than terminal 1 does but still offers snacks, newspapers, coffee and pay phones. Departure Lounge is about the same as the ground floor.

The Car hire counters are in the Millenium link. National, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Enterprise and Hertz are well known and dependable car hire companies. They have deals to suit any budget.

You can spot planes in 4 different locations:

At the long stay parking lot by the picnic area, by the Eurohub, by the old terminal and at the Aviation Area on the third floor of the main terminal. You can shoot some great photographs at any of these locations.
