The airport is connected to the railway station of Venice-Mestre.  This is just one of the ways of transportation that you can choose from to go into the city from the airport.  Another way that you can get a ride into the city is by bus.  The bus terminal of Venice-Piazzale Roma has scheduled bus services that pick up and drop off passengers from the airport to the city and vice versa.  One other way of transportation, which is kind of unusual, is by way of water taxi.  Not many places in the world use water taxis, and this is because Venice, Italy is built on the water.  Traveling by water taxi is the most relaxing, soothing, and calming way to travel into the city after a long, cramped up flight on a plane.
